I am very proud to say I did the sound design of Geoffrey Enthoven’s new feature film ‘Halfweg’.
It is a very complex sound design in all it’s simplicity. Every sound has to be measured and tested, modified and tailored to fit the film. The clearcut decision to finnish the picture without score, put a lot of responsibility on my shoulders, and the fact that the picture lot was postponed by almost a month (without moving the delivery deadline) made it a very intense project. But I am not complaining! It gave me a chance to learn my Sherman filterbank even better, record some very nice lightbulb static and doorsqueaks , and learn the birdcalls of this part of europe a bit better….
